"It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas"

Sunday afternoon, Davey asked if we wanted to help Ithaca (our brother hall) decorate for Christmas. How could we not accept such a fun offer?! So with gifts of paper, popcorn, and scissors in hand, Damarise, Janessa, and I walked down to their hall to see how we could help out. And so began the Christmas decorating of Ithaca. We had people making paper chains, paper snowflakes, popcorn strings, and many other projects. It was a ton of fun :)

I helped string popcorn (along with lots of other helpful string-ers). And Ian made some awesome 3D slinky-like snowflakes.

Johnny and Micah cut out snowflakes, and helped out with other decorations as well.

The messy craft table. :)

Josh made a reindeer, and Janessa clothed a troll that was on their hall.

Davey made a Christmas sign. :)

Justin and Kevin holding up one of Ian's cool snowflakes... oh and the football player behind them is Janessa's, Micah's, and many others' helpful creation.

Damarise made a paper chain Christmas tree.

Oh, and Micah wore a crazy Christmas sweater that he got from Janessa :) It was great!

We had a ton of fun helping decorate with our brother hall :) And now it really is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. :)

Imani Craft Night

My RA this year, Virginia, is so creative. She can take anything ordinary and transform it into something amazing. When she announced that our hall would have a craft night I was thrilled. I couldn't wait to see what Virginia had planned. And she did not disappoint. :)

We began our night with toilet paper rolls and old (think 1800's old) books. What could we make with those? Well, let me just show you.

First we began by gathering up people. Emily and Katie were happy and ready to go!

Damarise and I were excited to begin.

The craft table with toilet paper rolls.

The craft table with old book pages.

Beautiful, old, Italian sheet music.

The toilet paper rolls were cut up and glued together to create cool designs. (you'll see the finished product later :).

Snowmen from a package that Damarise put together.

Emily. Happy. Caring. Beautiful. Kind.

Bethany. My breakfast buddy. Great friend. Compassionate. Fellow Ed major.

Emily. Sweet. Caring. Loving.

Virginia. Creative. Thoughtful. Lovely.

Damarise. Friend. Sister. Amazing.

Kasey. Thoughtful. Sincere. Sweet.

Kaia. Funny. Sweet. Outgoing.

Kim. Helpful. Watchful. Kind.

Katie. Loving. Amazing Hair Cutter. Thoughtful.

Me. Just... me :)

Some amazing muffins that Virginia made. Did I mention that not only is she super creative, but she is also an amazing baker?!

The needle and thread used to sew together the paper...

In order to make these vintage looking pinwheel type things.

I also made paper cranes with the old paper.

And hung them and the pinwheels under my laugh sign.

As for the toilet paper rolls, here they are. They are hanging up on an empty wall and filling it with Virginia's creative idea. (looks cool eh?)

Creativity, sticky gluey fingers, Christmas music, laughing, talking, and some wonderful hall bonding time–Yah, Imani craft night was great!

Stringy Craft Time

Welcome back to craft time with Hannah Marie. The part of the show where Hannah comes out and does a stringy craft. I haven't done this in a while. Last time for craft time we made canned candles. Today we will make a friendship bracelet :)

Step one: Pick out string. I picked out six different colours. Light blue, blue, light green, green, light brown and coffee brown.

Step two: Tie, tie, tie away :) (If you want to do it here is a good site.)

Step Three: And vwala! The finished project! :D

Thanks for tuning in to "Stringy crafts with Hannah" :) Until next time, I'm Hannah Marie, bringing you stringy crafts :)

Trip out West: Lake Tahoe (Last Day)

Our last day in Lake Tahoe we decided to go on an easy hike with Aunt Penny, Uncle Don, Anna and Grandma.

Anna and I matched :) And it wasn't even planned!

It was BEAUTIFUL!

We could've just sat there and enjoyed the view.

But nobody did. :(

My spectacular siblings! I could've never asked for better ones!

Taylor creek. That was the creek that ran through this underground spot where you could see the fish underwater... if that makes sense.
