Mail

I absolutely love to get mail! It's so much nicer than an email. You get to go to a box and take out something tangible :) And to know that someone put the effort into writing and sending a letter, it's just so sweet :)

This week I got a letter from a dear friend in Arkansas. And a letter from each of my brothers. :) Oh! It just made my day each time I reached into my box and felt an envelope :)

So, to those of you who sent or have sent mail in the past, thank you! You have no idea how much it brightens up my day! :)

Andrew

My little brother is twelve today! Twelve! I can't believe it! When did he grow up? I mean, I still remember when I was twelve, and to be honest, it does not seem that long ago.

Well, whether I can believe it or not, it's here, and he really is twelve. So, Happy Birthday to my amazing little brother, Andrew!

Andrew, I'm so very, very, thankful that you are a part of our family. Life just would not be the same without you. Thanks for all the humor you add into daily life. Thanks for holding doors open for Mom and your sisters :) Thanks for being strong and tough. Thanks for being kind. Thanks for being caring. Thanks for just being an amazing little brother! I'm SO thankful that God placed you in our family! I love you, Andrew! I hope you have a wonderful year being twelve!

He's Survived the Knife!

Andrew went under the surgeon's knife yesterday (Mom explained why here). And he came out just fine and dandy. Although, in a little bit of pain. He is the first one of us kids to have surgery, so it's a pretty big thing :D And we are all happy that everything went well during the operation. Thanks to anyone who was praying for Andrew!

3 girls+2 boys= I love my siblings!!

Today we all tried to look our best for *drumroll please* our passport pictures! Yes, yes, yes, the time has come for us to renew our passports. Damarise got to be our passport picture photographer. We strung up a white sheet in the living room and smiled away :) After we were done with our passport photos we decided to snap a few of us siblings together :)

Damarise and I. Sisters, best friends, and twins at heart :)

Then along came Sarah. Ahh... hehe

Just kidding, we love her!!!!!

Next was Ian. Yay!! A brother!!! :D

And last but not least, Andrew!!! :D

Umm yah... we really do love each other... really! ;)

Yah, see there we go! Sibling-bonding-time-hug!! :)

The staircase of siblings.

What can I say, I have the bestest siblings ever!!

I am SO thankful to God for the wonderful blessing of four amazing siblings!

:D hehe...

A New Pianist!

This Monday we heard the song, "Mary Had a Little Lamb" being played over, and over, and over, and over again :P Hehe, ok, so it wasn't that many times. But it is true, we were hearing that song being played on the piano by *drumroll* Andrew Duane Turnbull!!! That's right, Andrew is learning the piano!!! Yeah! Way to go Andrew! He has got "Mary Had a Little Lamb" down pretty well. He is doing great at it! Can't wait to hear what other songs he learns.

A New Do

Last night, Andrew came to dinner with wet hair. After dinner, while he was doing the dishes, Sarah and I decided to style his hair. Aw, aren't we nice sisters? ;) We used a lot of gel to get his hair to stay put. Haha, I don't think he enjoyed it as much as we did :)

Style #1: Alfalfa off of Little Rascals.

Sarah getting the point to stand up.

Style # 2: Cool/wacky....

Style # 3: It looked like back in the 40s

Style # 4: Slammed onto his head.

Haha, it was a blast, but I think I like his hair just normal :)
