3 Tips on How to Stay Cool When the Weather Doesn't Let You

1. Besides the obvious (turning on your fan), take cold showers! When we moved to Mozambique, I never thought I would take a cold shower. Mr. Pete said we wouldn't mind it, but I really didn't believe that. Lo and behold, it's happened. I am taking cold showers now. It is refreshing. Especially in the morning, it give your body a cold jerk awake and you feel cold and refreshed.

2. Drink cold water. It cools down your insides, which in turn cool you down. It helps! Ice is also nice. If you suck on it for a while, your tongue gets cold or you get brain freeze, either one and you feel cooler.

3. Last but not least, my personal favourite, and ice pack. Yep, those things that you stick in your freezer, freeze, and then put in a cooler to keep food cold. They also work for keeping you cold. Stick them on your neck, feet, arms, legs, anywhere and you cool down pretty quickly.

Anywho, those are just a few of the ways we beat this African heat and try to stay cool.
