Pumpkin Carving

You know it's Fall in America when pumpkins start popping up in everything–pumpkin pie, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin smoothies, pumpkin bread, pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin! (Is pumpkin starting to sound weird to you? ;) )

Since pumpkins are all over the place, Mom picked up a few for us to carve :) Monday afternoon we gathered up a pumpkin, carving tools, and our creativity and began to carve pumpkins!

First step: Clean out the pumpkin.

Next, pose for a picture ;)

Grab a stencil...

Or trace your own design.

Then comes the cutting!
Carving, cutting, drawing, and gutting.

I think Sarah gutted her pumpkin the best!

Andrew's finished product... a sword!

Ian's finished product, a classic Jack-O-Lantern. :)

"Ian, try and copy the face!" :)

Just the girls left.

Damarise happily carving away.

My finished product.

Sarah drawing out what she will carve. (she is SO artistic!)

Happy Damarise.

My pumpkin. :) Fall is in the air!

Ta da! Damarise's finished pumpkin. It says, "Fall is on the ground." Ha. :)

Sarah's amazing pumpkin! She is SO talented!

Sarah's all lit up. SO pretty!

Five pumpkins :) All lit up. Ah! I love Fall!

Those all turned out so good, Hannah. I have never carved a pumpkin, but we do have two on the front porch waiting to be carved:)

How long did it take Sarah to carve hers?
