Ian Update

We got a text from Dad this morning asking for prayer. Dad said, "We read Psalm 66. Still no sign of brain response after 24 hours (more now... he text at around 8:30ish our time) without sedatives." Now at 4ish we just got a text saying, "CT scan showed brain is structurally normal. Unfortunately, damage from extended period of below critical blood pressure or from malaria gunk build up would not show up." Ian is still in a coma and we are waiting to see how he is. We know that God is the all powerful God and that nothing is too difficult for Him. We continue to pray for God's healing for Ian. Thank you again for all the prayers, love and encouragement you guys have been showering us in!!

I was just chatting with our son, Stefan, in Nampula. He has told us about Ian and you all, and we want you to know that we are praying. I'm glad he sent me the link to your spot, Hannah Marie, so we can keep informed about Ian's progress. May the Lord bless you and when you have contact with your parents, tell them we're praying, OK?

:-) I just saw that my message went from "Mom and Dad Kern"--that's the way I comment to Stefan and Sharon's blog! Oh well, we are Manfred and Barbara Kern!

Dear everyone--please know that I am still in prayer. I have passed along this prayer request to my 2 resources for prayer--one group of homeschool moms that numbers over 1700 members and are real prayer warriors--and my personal close group of homeschool coop moms--7 ladies who are ever before the throne of grace for one another. I am in tears whenever I think of you all! I am praying for you--Mrs. Greene (Corrine Greene)

I've been praying for Ian and for your family, as well, and I will continue to do so. I heard about Ian through my friend Mrs. Greene.

My family is praying continually for Ian's recovery. I also sent the request on to my church (Central Bible Church in Portland, Oregon)who are strong believers in the power of prayer.
