This morning...

"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness."- Colossians 2:6-7

This morning in my quiet time I came across this verse. Wow! It defines how we should be living. Rooted and built up in Him! Rooted: fixed, unshakeable. I think of a tree when I think of rooted. And I think that's how we should be. We should be rooted in Christ, standing firm and unshakeable in Him, being strengthened in Him, just like a tree is strengthened from the food it gets from the ground where its roots are. And when we are rooted in Him, He can use us for His glory and honor! And produce through us the fruits of the Spirit! :) And we will be overflowing with thankfulness... who wouldn't be overflowing with thankfulness knowing that God is using us for His glory and that we are rooted in Him! Wow! We are so honored to serve such an awesome God!
