Goodbye VI kiddies :(

Wednesday marked our last day to babysit for the VI team meetings. We haven't babysat since we got back from South Africa... so our first time babysitting... was our last time. We had a nice time watching the kiddies and I know I'm going to miss them all SO much! The VI team has some amazing kids! Well behaved and respectful and it is always a joy to get to watch them! Damarise and I love doing it and we will definitely miss them all!

Okk... so since it was our last time we snapped a lot of pictures. :)

Noah found a frog and named it Sammy :) He kept it in a bucket for a while just to look at and then let it free :)

Damarise and Renata... She is the cutest girl in the whole world!!!

Renata and me. I love this lil' girl!!!

Noah and his froggy :) ... haha... he was laughing cause he turned the frog around right when Damarise went to take the picture :P Silly boy!

Ummm... Noah was climbing up a tree... and was hanging on a branch when that branch broke! *scary!!* he was fine and dandy and the place on the tree where the branch had broken was leaking this creamy looking stuff. Weird!

All the Roger kids have these adorable crocs! :D

Is he cute or is he CUTE?! Asher is one adorable looking boy!!! :D

He can right the first letter of his name! WOW!!!! Way to go Asher!! :D

Haha, Noah and Emily were showing us there Tae Bo skills ;)

Noah was the guard of the tree :)

Damarise showing Renata and Emily the video she took of them.

Awwwww :)

Asher is so cute! :D

Just thought this was a cool picture of Asher's hat :)

And that's the end of all of our babysitting adventures for Mozambique :( I'm going to miss it SO much! Maybe someday we'll get to hang out with all the VI kidos again :) Who knows....

Long time...

Wow! I am so sorry I haven't updated in a while! Time is just going by way to fast. Since I haven't updated for about a week, I think an update is due. So how about random things happening in my life right now :)

1. I finished my family Christmas shopping on Thursday! Yay! I am so happy! :)

2. I read a hilarious book on Tuesday! Damarise and I were babysitting the Kern and Morrison kids and I read this book about three time and laughed each time :) It's great!

3. Not sure if I already said this but Damarise and I have bought our tickets to go see Ruth! Yeah! It's a sure thing now! :)

4. Well, the rest of what I will say deserves it's own blog post...

So until then,
tchau :)

My Thrilling Thursday

Thursday, Damarise and I went to SIL to babysit the Paetzold and De Jongh boys. And what game did the boys decide to play? Why, none other than Baseball. Tee hee hee. It was funny playing it with foreigners. (The Paetzolds are South African and the De Jonghs are Dutch) So the Paetzold boys were playing Baseball more like Cricket, they had a "Wicket Keeper" instead of the Umpire. :P And the De Jongh boys kept saying, "This isn't how we play Baseball. We saw it played differently on 'Little House on the Prairie'." :P It was fun.

Okk, so I couldn't hit a baseball for diddly squat. (although I think it might have been that the pitchers were to low... cause when Damarise pitched it, I sorta... kinda hit it :) ) Anyways, it gave all the boys a laugh cause most of them could hit it straight on. Especially Christiaan. He had a hard hit! I didn't think he would hit it the first time I pitched. Whoops! I was totally wrong! It whizzed right past me about an inch from my head! I was in stunned shock for a few minutes! Haha, next time I pitched it to him I ducked! :P

My feet :)

Damarise's heel. She thinks it's infected. Eww.

Camiel ready to hit.

The baseball :)

A pair of the cute earrings that Aunt Kris got for us :)

Damarise tried to get some school done while we were there.

Aw! He is such a cutie!!!

In the afternoon we went to a goodbye party for the Paetzolds and when we returned home we realized that we were locked out. Whoops! ... But amazing Dad opened the door for us! Yeah! Thanks Dad!! :D

And to end the day....(exciting, exciting!)
I was contacted via snail mail by a college! Yahoo!! It was exciting! :)

A Kiddie Day

Today was a day full of kids! This morning Damarise and I headed down to the VI office to watch all the VI kiddos who don't go to the SIL school. We had fun :) The kids are always a joy to hang out with and can put a smile on my face :)

Noah and Camiel found and captured a gecko. I felt so bad for the poor little gecko. He was being squished! After about a half hour of holding and playing with him they let it go :)

Cute Crocs! Pep, one of the nice stores here, got in a bunch of them and most all the mom's went to buy some for their kids :P

Emily was telling me what she got for her 5th birthday. Her favourite present was a bag of straws! :) Hehe, so we were talking about how cool straws are and what our favourite coloured straws are. :)

An artistic shot of Damarise's capri buckle. Nice one Damarise!

Aw! Three happy friends! Emily, Renata, and Asher.

Happy!!! :D I love Cohen's face!

Nora and Noah digging out a whole... or getting "chocolate" for their chocolate factory.

Renata eating snack.

Popcorn! Mmmm

Cool water bottles!

Damarise's eyes... :P

Feet feet feet :)

Yeah! Christian smiled and laughed this time!!!

The cooks and workers for the "chocolate" factory.

Smile :D

At 11:30 we came back home from babysitting, packed lunch and headed to SIL to watch the kids during their lunch break. At 1:30pm we taught the 1st and 2nd grader's art class. It was fun!!

At 2:30pm school got out and Damarise and I hung out at SIL 'til 4pm when Ms. Charity and Ms. Sharon came with their kids for us to watch while they walked around the track.

Asher is strong! He could swing on the rope really well!

Noah, Camiel and Thomas digging for gold :P

About 5:30pm we came back home :D It was a long day (and totally wore me out!) But it was worth it! Kids are so fun!!! :D
