Famous...ish

Last Friday the sun was shining, the weekend had come, and I was catching up with friends (Micah, Jimmy, and Megan) on the lawn.

While we were chatting a news reporter came up and asked if she could take a picture of us and have us say something about our college's new president. Jimmy was our spokesperson, and we all got our picture in the news. It's an online newspaper, but still it's the news! I've never been in a newspaper before so it was exciting. As soon as the reporter left some of us freaked out that we were going to be "famous". ...Well, we're not famous, but we are in a news article!

A Month of Thanksgiving: Day 3

Today I am thankful for rest. This past week was tiring and getting to sleep in on Saturday was a blessing. I am also thankful for home cooked meals. I woke up to Damarise making french toast for us. (yum!) And I had fun making homemade chicken noodle soup and dinner rolls for supper.

Today I am also thankful for Megan. She came by our house to do homework and nap. I love when friends pop in! We ate dinner together, played scrabble, and found out the best news ever. 

This news is probably what I am most thankful for today. My old RA, Virginia is finally engaged to her... now fiancé, Kevin! Ah! When we heard the news we freaked out! I am SO thankful! They are two of the kindest people and knowing that they are engaged is the greatest thing. We of course had to celebrate, so we called up Davey and Zach (since Kevin was their RA) and we all celebrated together by eating ice cream and watching a movie. 

All in all, it was a wondrous Saturday with so many blessings to thank God for. He is wonderful!

Today Damarise, Megan, and I joined some girls from our hall and some guys from our brother hall to watch the last home basketball game of the season. It was amazing! Intense, but amazing. With one minute left to spare both teams were tied. And at six seconds Covenant got one more point and won! SO good! And a great Saturday afternoon study break. 

April Fools

No, it isn't April 1st yet, in fact April Fools Day is about five months away. But, that didn't stop us from playing a "little" prank on some hall mates. Let me just tell you the whole story...

Once upon a time, on a cold Saturday night in November, Damarise, Megan, and I were sitting around about to go bazurk from all the studying. Then it suddenly dawned on us that two hall mates were down the mountain for the night... perfect. Since we were going crazy from studying and they were away... well... we decided to TP their room. :) We had loads of fun doing it! And they laughed when they saw it. Oh, yah, and they also threatened to get us back...sometime. Well, a month passed and nothing happened.

Until this past Saturday. Damarise and I had just gotten back from lunch. We walked into our room and found dixie cups filled with water lining out entire floor!

There were 400 cups, to be exact, filled with water (some are cleaned up in the picture already :) ). We were definitely not expecting it and had a great laugh when we walked into our room! :D Haha... way to go Emily and Katie on getting us back... it worked!
