Day 13: Last day at the Palms...

Since it was our last full day at the Palms, we wanted to spend all day out on the beach! :)

So we started out on a walk and ran into this HUGE river... ok, well it's not that big, but it did get deep in some spots:)

After we crossed the river, we looked up on the beach and saw that lil' black hump up there.

Well, we were all too curious and walked up to see what it was... It was a lil' sea lion! It was so cute, but really weak! So Damarise, Gracie, Bethy and I ran up to a Nature Reserve that was close by, and told the lady there what we had found. Meanwhile, a guy who walked by said that it had probably gotten chased onto shore by a white shark. So, after a lil' while we ended up leaving it there.

While we were there though, we shooed the flies off of it and poured water on it to cool it down.

And of course, got a picture with it:)

Then we left and some of the boys slid down the sand walls.... It's fun! :)

Walking back home for lunch.

And Andrew, Andrew and Benaiah playing following the leader:)

After lunch and a game of Rook we went back down to the beach to check on the sea lion. It was doing much better!! It was actually sitting up... and turing it's back to us;) hehe, that's when we decided we better leave it be. And when we came back that night, it was gone.

Crossing the river again:)

And then it got really deep!!! Thank you brothers for going out first:)

We then found this really cool hiking trail!

It had some rickety stair cases... it kinda looked like we were in the TV show 'Survivor'

Oh yah, and they had HUMUNGO rollie pollies!

Our dirty feet after the walk:)

A lake that was on the hiking trail :)

And the board walk that was off and on through out the trail! So pretty and senic!

Hehe, Damarise, Bethy and I by the lake.

And walking home... Goodbye Palms
