Quiet time...

2 Corinthians 8:9- For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.

I was reading in my quiet time the other day in 2 Corinthians. And came across this verse. And Wow, wow, wow, it just blew me away! Christ was rich! He was there with the Heavenly Father!!!! He had all the wisdom and He was in the presence of God all the time! and yet for our sakes He became poor. He left His place in heaven and came down to earth as a lowly man, a carpenter, and then he died a criminals death! Philippians 2:6-8 "Who, being in very nature God,did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing,taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man,he humbled himself and became obedient to death— even death on a cross! " then 2 Cor. 8:9b-" so that you (or us) through HIS poverty might become rich"..... Through what he suffered we might become rich!!!! He died so that we could have a mediator to God! So that we can talk with Him and have the relationship we have with Him, cause Christ became poor so that through HIS poorness we can become rich! Philippians 2:9 "Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Amen!!!
